For those that know me, I'd be described as a Cali girl, country, hippie, artistic, nerd, with a touch of bruja.
I love to laugh, travel, and being a silly goose is my specialty. I've been obsessed with rocks, old bottles, skeleton keys, all critters, and of course dragons, for as long as I can remember.
I'm from a small country town in NorCal. I grew up on the family cattle ranch with my dad and also lived all over California with my mom. Art has always been my means of expression and an outlet. I have a creative and handy family, so I was blessed being raised with and taking part in creative projects. Throughout my educational career, I took every art class I was able to. Even though it was something I loved and excelled at, it was never something I imagined being able to do full time.
It's taken me a long time to get here, but I've always been an artist in my heart. And now that I have two beautiful babies of my own, I'm realizing that it is more important to teach them to do what they love and being who they truly are. And the best way to teach them how to follow their hearts, is by example. Creating art and to be able to share that with others or making someone's idea come to life, is my dream. I hope the world is ready for me!
The 'babbling' in Babbling Woods is a nod to my goofy side. And 'woods' is meant like the 'thick' of any wild environment. In summary, it symbolizes for me: enjoying the silly, little things in life, and to be humbled by the magical, wild world around us. Trying to highlight the smallest of details that go unnoticed or unappreciated and understand they are just as important in the bigger picture.
Thank you for supporting an artist, wife, and proud mama!

I’ve always been drawn to the art world. Throughout my schooling career, this love for creativity drove me to try all forms of art classes. Sketching and drawing, watercolor, painting, airbrush, photography, graphic design, ceramics, sculpture, woodshop, furniture restoration, design.

I use and have used many different mediums throughout my work, such as: oil paints, acrylic, watercolor, clay, charcoal, pastels, colored pencils, wire, wood, stone, yarn, plaster, paper, carboard, ect...

The beautiful world around us and all the creatures in it, including the 'magical' ones, has been my inspiration for some time now. In combination, I also express personal experiences and include my own ideas or feelings in each piece as well. I love to hear the imagined story my work evokes and also like to share the ‘purpose’ or meaning of the piece and see if it resonates with the viewer.
